What does "Angus bred to Brangus " mean?

Angus is a breed of beef cattle and have not heard of a Brangus. It means an Angus cow was mated to a Brangus bull. The "angus" in the Brangus leads me to think it is cattle related to Angus cattle, perhaps being a brown Angus.
