Atheists: if you say christians believe in God to keep from fear of death...?

then what about you? I mean it seems to me you wouldn't want to believe in an afterlife for fear of consequences. I mean seriously its like you could live however you wanted all you have is the earthly consquences and those don't usually last long so....do not belive for fear of consquences?
